Download a copy of the Scholarship Application and submit to: TCBNA 1. Candidates for the Tri-County Black Nurses Association Scholarship must be a member of a local chapter or a member of a student nursing organization. 2. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a nursing program BSN or ADN and in good standing acedemically at the time of the application. 3. Candidates must have at least one full year of nursing school remaining. 4. Candidates must demonstrate financial need. 5. Candidates must submit a resume outlining the following: educational and work experiences, extracurricular activites and community involvement. These may include, but are not limited to:local chapter involvement, community based projects, school level projects, organization efforts, and state-level student nurse activities, activities impacting the health and social conditions of African Americans and other culturally diverse groups. In an essay, explain your future goals in nursing, and why you are the best candidate to be awarded the Tri-County Black Nurses Association Scholarship. Please also highlight your ideas and explain what impact ou may have on improving the health status and/or condition of tAfrican american's as a nurse. 6. Candidates must attach a two page typed essay, double spaced and with 12' font addressing the topic listed below. 7. If local, candidates are encouraged to become a memeber of the Tri-County Black Nurses Association. 8. Winners are asked to volunteer and participate with Tri-County Black Nurses events. 9. $1,000 Scholarship awards will be dispersed into two semesters --$500 each term. 10.
